Since about 25 February I do not appear to have been logging any points although I see the units being calculated and sent etc.

Is there some sort of reset process I need to go through?

Had you previously been participating in BOINC, GridRepublic, or World Community Grid?

I run World Community Grid in parallel but using Charity Engine as the main software not the basic BOINC.  It ran perfectly like that for two months.  Has something changed?

It looks like you have multiple clients. Which client / version is giving you the email address error, Charity Engine 7.0.76 on Windows?

Yes, 7.0.76 on both my office desktop and laptop (I also have an old laptop running Ubuntu and a Raspberry pi - that has done nothing yet - I have to attach a bigger disk for the data.)

OK, I have just read a previous post.  Stopped Charity Engine completely and reloaded it.  Putting back my email and password.  The default logon presented did not contain my email but username from World Community Grid - so maybe that corrupted it.

I have restarted Charity Engine and logged in OK so we will see how it goes.

The units pre-existing from several weeks ago are still there but there is no evidence of those from the previous 2 weeks or so.  Whether they will resurrect I do not know.

I will keep you posted.

PS Whereabouts should I find cc_config.xml on the windows machine?  It isn't in program files directory or C:/user/.../AppData so far as I can see.

Should be in C:\ProgramData\BOINC on your version of Windows.

If you continue to have trouble with the email address error, it would be helpful to look at some other files in that directory (but we'd want to take the conversation to email for that to keep your account information safe).

Thank you Tristan.  I have looked at the xml file (which was dated August last year) and there is nothing there to indicate usernames or passwords.  So I will contact you by email.

Thank you too Matt.  I wasn't about to put my email en clair but a timely reminder and  useful to anyone else out there not to do such things and a good link.
