Got the software today but i wonder 1 thing before i can start using it like i want. How much bandwith does it use? I only have 80 GB per month for my whole family and we usually have 10-20 GB over but i reaaaally don't want to cross 80 GB per month because then they cut thei nternet until next month. So where can i find how many GB of bandwith the application takes? Like if i run it for 1 hour, how many GB will it take ??
the initial application download will be up to 30MB. After that the application does not use a lot of bandwidth, I would estimate about 5MB per day so you should be safe.
One thing to note is that the applications we use mostly require an always-on connection. If you do not have a live connection, our software will wait until the connection is active.
Tom, btw -- In addition to the CE app described by Rytis above, about 5-10% of your runtime will go to public research -- currently Einstein@home or MalariaControl.net. This will add somewhere between 50MB and 200MB transfer per month.
