I've got Charity Engine installed on a couple of machines at my place, either or both of which may be running at some point in time. And from an external site, they appear to have the same IP address.
So .. how does CE ensure that it's not processing the same data on both machines?
Isn't done solely by IP address. The BOINC app can tell one PC from another.
Has to be able to tell PCs apart and know their basic specification (CPU, RAM, GPU type), otherwise it wouldn't work - or would be very inefficient, at least.
