In the lower half of my Charity Engine Desktop box, the drop down list (next to the gear wheel logo) shows all blanks except for the one 'Charity Engine' entry. The top two blanks show, when selected, change the 'Work done for this project' points. The 3rd and 4th drop down entries show zero work done. The 5th line is 'Charity Engine'. Is my desktop broken?
That seems kind of strange. You could try the "Advanced view" in the View menu to see if that shows you the projects and points data you're looking for. It looks like your system is earning points just fine, at least.
When I installed Charity Engine, the beta version was installed. So far, I've been unable to find several of the screens mentioned in various texts... the Desktop being one. Annoying.
Referring to Charity Engine Desktop just means the software that you installed, not this website or other systems. That being said, there may be some screens that you don't see in the desktop software unless you go to the View menu and select Advanced View, which has more options than the Simple View.

Even more weirdly, the drop downs are now populated.
