Sorry about that, Yasser. We're working on getting some of the account functions repaired. In the meantime, you can use this link to download the desktop software for your new laptop. I hope all goes well in getting things set up again!
For Linux, the best approach is to install the "boinc" package via the package manager on your system; I think that would be apt on Mint. There's a bit more detail in the wiki article: Welcome Linux Users
Maybe you guys should post this link somewhere on the site where it's accessible because I had to search a while to find this, since the button on my account (that I just created) is also greyed out.
Sorry for the confusion, Lisander -- the solution for all of these issues is in our fixing that button so that it isn't greyed out. Thanks for bringing this back up so that it will get fixed sooner rather than later!
There isn't still an easy way to download the program. I've just installed Windows, went back to this site to download CE client, but just found the link here in this topic. There's not a button to download once you're logged in, not in dashboard or on the top menu. It seems virtually impossible to download it. I wonder whether it's something intentional and you guys don't want more people downloading the program now.
It is an inconvenience, for sure. In the meantime, there is the link in this topic, which I'm glad you've found. Any new users who sign up will get the download normally, it's just the link for logged in users that is missing.
I created my account on my Windows machine and then came back looking for a link to download on my Linux laptop. It's very dumb not to have a "download" link on the site that's accessible to everybody, for all OS.
I, too, had quite the time trying to find the D/L "button" to add Our New Laptop to The CE Family...finally grabbed BOINC and added CE as the Manager for BOINC.
Hope that works and that Cedits from the WU's the Laptop do count towards the drawing!!
I have a new laptop and I want to download the software but the Add computer link is disabled

The link doesn't seem to work for (Linux) Mint.
Should it?

I came here for the same reason as everyone else! ;) Could you add a temporary link to the account pages for client downloads?
Thanks

HI, just looking for confirmation that the above method DOES work for adding a new PC to CE!
Thanks Guys,
Ed
Works, I always do it that way in order to use the latest boinc.
