i registered and instead of downloading the charity engine program as a boinc user i connected via account manager and so far so good, when i requested wu i didn't receive any is it a momentary lack or is the apple m1 chip not supported?
Hi francesco -- I don't think there are any workunits from the Charity Engine project that will run on Apple M1, but you should still get tasks from other projects. Has the account manager attached your BOINC client to additional projects yet?
i wanted to help in charity engine, i would have given up boinc credits if there were wu on charity engine but otherwise i will continue with my existing profiles.
anyway are there any plans for future m1 chip support?
Hi Francesco -- We do plan to add M1 support, but the timeline is a bit unclear.
It's presently not a near-term item, but this is largely driven by needs of our scientific and commercial partners (e.g. what apps they need to run, how complex to get these running on M1, etc), so this could change quickly.
